FOUNDER + DIRECTOR
Rachel Woodroof
A certified spiritual director by the Metagem Institute, and an advocate for holistic healing. With a background in international conflict work, she has supported refugees and individuals recovering from PTSD, integrating trauma-informed care into spiritual companioning, practices and shared community spaces. Passionate about mental health, soul care, and personal development, she envisions the Collective as a place where people can heal, grow, and connect in meaningful ways.

EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS DIRECTOR
Kristine Hurst-Wajaszczuk, DMA, LBME
Dr. Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk is a mindfulness educator, breath work specialist, and higher education leader with a background in performance anxiety research. She is a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults, a Licensed Body Mapping Educator (LBME) and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Additionally, she has pursued studies in the Alexander Technique since 1995. Passionate about helping individuals build resilience and well-being, Kristine develops programs that empower people to navigate stress, cultivate presence, and foster community connection.

Jamie Parris
Jamie serves as Development and Community Engagement Director for Green House Collective, bringing a deep commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive spaces. With a background in nonprofit leadership and a passion for connecting people to transformative resources, Jamie helps cultivate relationships that strengthen the Collective’s impact and reach within the community.

COMMUNICATIONS + FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR
Parker Woodroof, PhD
A marketing professor at the Collat School of Business and serves as Communications and Fundraising Director for the Green House Collective as well as secretary for our board. With a deep understanding of strategic growth and community engagement, Parker brings expertise in financial sustainability and communications , social media and business ethics. Passionate about making mental health and soul care accessible, he is dedicated to ensuring the Collective’s long-term impact in Birmingham.
